Intellectual Property in Business and Society

Here's an item from the weekend paper highly relevant to our copyright discussion. This New York Times article discusses China's booming market of bootleg books, music, and movies, as well as the Chinese government's alleged indifference to foreign patent claims, which fuels production of knockoff versions of everything from GM cars to our favorite in-class example, Viagra pills.

And speaking of knockoffs, what do you think of the following: Star Wars Stormtrooper/Che Guevara t-shirt? "Designer inspired" handbags at PurseSale.com? Pet portraits "in a Warhol-esque style" from PopArtPet.com? A get-rich-quick scheme to use public domain works for fun and profit?
