Intellectual Property in Business and Society

I know that we talked a bit about the website allofmp3.com which was offering "legitimate" music downloads online for very cheap (often about 15-20 cents a song and 1.50 an album). The company is based out of Russia and claims that it is operating within the framework of Russian law, and thus is "legal". This has not sided well the RIAA and the US Government, and thus, they both have been making a strong push for Russia to act against allofmp3.com and shut it down. Well, just a few days ago it seems that the RIAA has won yet again, as the Russian government has agreed to shut the web site down. However, it does sound like allofmp3.com is not going to go down without a legal battle. Should make for a very interesting international IP case!
